    Description

In 1813, Charles J. Mason began production of a new earthenware pottery called Mason's Patent Ironstone China. This ware became popular for dinner and tea services because it did not easily chip or break. The pottery featured Asian-style motifs such as this chrysanthemum flower. This is circa  1930s,  based upon the style of the decoration. The mark, with the word England, indicates it was made after 1891.
