Are you tired of kayaking and have no place to put your Beer, Coke, Gatorade, Disposable Water Bottle, Insulated Water Bottle Suntan Lotion, ETC?
NO ONE makes a decent  Beverage Holder for kayaks.
I have SEARCHED AND SEARCHED to try to find something to just hold our drinks upright and in easy reach while kayaking
If yours does have a drink holder it is usually just an small indentation in the kayak or in the seat that doesn't hold anything securely and falls over in the kayak.  Due to odd shape of the lip on the kayaks, there is nothing made that can conform to the zig-zag shape of lip of the cockpit that holds anything stable.
So I decided to have my own made!
This are made from aircraft aluminum extrusions with a bottom piece welded in and a flexible strap welded onto the side so you can custom cut, bend, shape, drill the strap mount to any shape you want to conform it to lip of your particular kayak. (NO RUST and won't break like plastic) The mounting strap is made extra long and will need to be trimmed down to size for your application.  You can break off some of the length by bending back and forth to cause metal fatigue and break it that way or with large snips or a grinding wheel.  The point is each kayak/canoe is different so you can customize it to fit yours exactly.  The metal is flexible enough that you can bend with your hand, but can be bent with a couple pairs of pliers to get the exact bends needed to fit your kayak.
I have made two sizes.  This auction is for the larger size pictured designed to fit the larger insulated water bottles, and 32oz Sport Drink bottles like Gatorade and Power Aid. Smaller bottles and cans will fit, but it is too large.  The small one has an internal width of approximately 2 5/8”. The large one has an internal width of just about 4” but actually about 3 15/16” I’d say.
The smaller size is designed to fit standard aluminum cans, disposable water bottles, and beer bottles with a coosie is desired. It will be on another auction.
These are sold bare aluminum as shown in the first 5 pictures.  These can be custom painted BY YOU to match your kayak as shown in some of my other pictures to show how it mounts, but I do not paint them for you.  They come just as pictured.  Bare aluminum with a straight strap.
I recommend drilling at least one small hole and 2 works even better into the strap once you get it mounted and the shape you desire to prevent the holder from moving.  You can use a self tapping screw to screw through the strap and into the kayak or better, I used small stainless machine screws with washers and a nut to securely fasten them to the kayak.  (Available at Lowes and Home Depot)  The holes are very small and I don't mind putting them into my kayaks.  If you don't want to drill or screw into your kayak, you don't have to, but keep in mind the holder could still slide around or tilt depending on how tight you make your mounting strap hold.
Also this design still also allows you to use a waterproof skirt around the cockpit.
You can mount this in any location, but you can see from the pictures the best location seems to be between your legs right in front you where it is in easy reach and doesn't interfere with paddling like many other designs I have seen.  I am still able to put my legs in and out of the kayak with ease while paddling.
You can also customize this further by drilling another small hole into the cup holder and attaching a clip lanyard that you could attach to your insulated water bottle so you won't loose it in case you capsize.
