Bell Huey UH-1 Iroquois Helicopter - Jack of All Trades
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois is a military helicopter powered by a single, turboshaft engine, with a two-bladed main rotor and tail rotor. The helicopter was developed by Bell Helicopter to meet the United States Army's requirement for a medical evacuation and utility helicopter in 1952, and first flew in October of 1956. Ordered into production in March 1960, the UH-1 was the first turbine-powered helicopter to enter production for the United States military. It has proved to be extraordinarily successful; more than 16,000 have been produced worldwide.
The UH-1 first saw combat service with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. The original designation of HU-1 led to the helicopter's nickname of "Huey". In September 1962, the designation was changed to UH-1, but Huey remained in common use. Approximately 7,000 UH-1 aircraft saw service in Vietnam, in a variety of roles, including medical evac, special forces insertion and removal, and as a helicopter gunship.
Investment Note
We don't normally talk about silver coins priced under a couple hundred dollars as investments, but here's a coin with a ton of investment potential, to say nothing of cachet! It's affordable for any budget and stuck in the .999 pure silver! The Vietnam War theme (depicting a helicopter and regular infantry and special forces soldiers) is both compelling and hard to find. Perhaps most importantly, it has an extremely low mintage limit of only 2,500! Don't let it sell out on you, get yours today!
Obverse
Two soldiers, one regular infantry and one special forces, are inserted in a hot jungle LZ by a Bell Huey UH-1 Iroquois helicopter in Vietnam. The legends VIETNAM WAR and AUSTRALIAN INVOLVEMENT 1962-1972 define the theme.

Niue
Niue is a small island nation in the South Pacific. Although it is completely self-governing and independent, it remains in free association with New Zealand, a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, hence the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its coinage. The country is located about 1,450 miles northeast of New Zealand. It is closest to Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands. It is one of the largest coral islands in the world, with a total area of 260 square kilometers. Niueans are predominantly Polynesian; most are bilingual, speaking both Niuean and English.
