this HUGE,
ULTRA LOW MINTAGE (only 500) 5 troy ounce pure silver proof!
This is, quite simply, one of the most stunning wildlife coins we have ever seen! Celebrating the diversity and ridiculously gorgeous coloration of the Parrots of Australia, we can't remember the last time we gazed on such a vibrantly hued beauty! This five troy ounce pure silver proof is an official show special of the 2021 Berlin World Money Fair, held virtually this year due to the pandemic.
Parrots aren't just beautiful, they are endlessly fascinating, whether in our homes or in the wild. These highly intelligent creatures can learn to speak human language, use tools, and even exhibit "handedness": adult parrots are almost exclusively either left-footed or right-footed! Most parrots are highly social, living and traveling in large flocks. Of the nearly 400 species of parrots found worldwide, Australia is home to almost 60, including many brightly hued ones!
The parrots depicted on this coin, beginning at 6:00 and proceeding clockwise, are:
1) Major Mitchell's Cockatoo, pink, with its large crest fully raised
2) Bourke's Parrot, poking out of its nest in a tree cavity
3) Crimson Rosella, bright red mated pair
4) Pale-Headed Rosella, perched on a branch at 2:00
5) Mallee Ringneck Parrot, green, blue and yellow mated pair
Each Parrots of Australia Silver Proof is individually serial numbered on the edge. Struck from a HUGE five troy ounces of .999 pure silver, and spanning a massive 65 mm in diameter (nearly 3 inches!), this imposing coin represents spectacular tribute to native Australian parrots. Each coin is encapsulated and displayed in a highly polished, wooden presentation case accompanied by a full-color, numbered certificate and color outer box! With a tiny mintage of just 500 coins, these impressive gems will sell out quickly!

Niue
Niue is a small island nation in the South Pacific. Although it is completely self-governing and independent, it remains in free association with New Zealand, a member of the British Commonwealth of Nations, hence the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its coinage. The country is located about 1,450 miles northeast of New Zealand. It is closest to Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands. It is one of the largest coral islands in the world, with a total area of 260 square kilometers. Niueans are predominantly Polynesian; most are bilingual, speaking both Niuean and English.
