Vintage Japanese Hand Fan - Black & Gold - Unusual

Description

So I wet to an estate sale of a Japanese woman who was just under 100 years old.  She had several Japanese fans and this was one of them.  Problem is I know NOTHING about vintage fans.  This one is rather unusual.....I am not sure what the fan blades are made of.  At first I thought plastic but it is bendable/flexible.  So I thought maybe a painted thin leather....a heavily painted paper that makes it feel like a leather.  I don't know.  The base is a brown tortoise shell plastic material and everything is tied together with vintage string or thread.  One fan blade has some green stuff on the tip but it comes off with my fingernail.

*Please note-the shipping price is a flat rate.  I mostly ship Fed Ex but sometimes I end up using UPS or USPS.  Depends on where you live and shipping cost (and the size of the box).
*I pack items very well and everything has a tracking number.  Once I mail an item I can't be held responsible for what happens to the package. If it gets lost, damaged or stolen then I will do all I can to get the claim filed, etc....however I can't control what happens after I mail it.  With this said I will work with the buyer to help in any way I can.
*I will only ship to the address you have on file with eBay so it's up to you to make sure the address is current and correct.
