A military commander during one of the most turbulent and bloody periods in China’s history, Zhao Yun was a model warrior possessing expert combat skills, supreme courage and unwavering loyalty.
Dramatic Design
The coin portrays the legendary general at the Battle of Changban in 208, where he risked all to rescue his master’s baby son. Within the design, Zhao Yun’s ornate spear is coloured blue and gold. The inscription 赵云, the Chinese characters for Zhao Yun, also appear in the artistry which features a unique ‘antiqued’ surface finish.
Antiqued Finish
This coin has been individually ‘antiqued’ by hand to give a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact. As a result of this treatment, the appearance of each coin may vary.
Presentation Packaging
Accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, the coin is housed in a classic black display case within an illustrated shipper.
